The short film Hemimetabolism, named after the process of incomplete metamorphosis, manifests layered motifs that collectively depict the erosion of an individual's naïvety under the weight of society's restrictive constraints. Throughout the film, the central figure embodies two contrasting wings - one pure and untouched, the other pretentiously contaminated in a performative attempt to meet societal conformations. Her innocent curiosity is ultimately shattered by the 'elevator' - a symbolic motif the audience is invited to freely interpret.
